A Space to Heal

Welcome to your new beginning

ETL Care Group supports adults who have completed primary treatment for drug or alcohol addiction and are not yet ready to live entirely on their own. Residents live in a substance-free house with support close at hand.

Secondary recovery accommodation gives people time — time to strengthen sobriety, rebuild routine and confidence, and practise everyday responsibilities in a setting that is both structured and supportive.

The aim is always the same: to leave with the emotional resilience, practical skills and support network needed for sustainable, independent living.

Our Core Values

Built on three pillars

Excellence

We are committed to high standards of care, safeguarding and professional practice in everything we do.

Respect

Every resident is treated with dignity, autonomy and honesty, and supported as an individual.

Community

Recovery is stronger together. Peer relationships and shared responsibility sit at the heart of the house.

What We Offer

Comprehensive specialist care

Every part of our support is designed to help residents stay well and prepare for life after secondary care.

Safe, Supportive Housing

A substance-free, well-maintained home where residents can settle and focus on recovery.

Individual Support

One-to-one recovery planning with a Recovery Practitioner, reviewed as needs change.

Life Skills & Education

Practical skills for independent living: budgeting, cooking, employment, education and routine.

Relapse Prevention

Structured work on triggers, coping strategies and early warning signs, practised in daily life.

Community & Peer Support

Group engagement and connection to local recovery resources and 12-step fellowships.

Family Involvement

Guidance for families so they can support their loved one and look after themselves too.

The Case for Secondary Care

Why secondary treatment?

The months immediately after primary treatment carry the highest risk of relapse. Returning straight to old surroundings, often without structure or accountability, asks a great deal of anyone.

Secondary care removes that cliff edge. Residents continue therapeutic work and relapse prevention while gradually taking on more responsibility — work, study, finances, relationships — with support available every day.

  • Build resilience before living independently
  • Strengthen life skills and daily routine
  • Deepen self-awareness through ongoing support
  • Reconnect with purpose, community and work

Eligibility

Is this right for you?

Secondary accommodation is ideal for those who have completed primary treatment and want continued support as they move towards independent living. Our service may be suitable for someone who:

  • Has completed a residential detox or rehabilitation programme
  • Is committed to abstinence and to engaging with a structured recovery plan
  • Is ready to develop the practical skills needed for independent living
  • May be living with a co-occurring mental health need alongside addiction
